Benzo #1 | 3-month-old Lab mix | Your little prancing sweetheart
Benzo is a 3-month-old, 12-pound Lab mix who is a sweet, friendly, playful little guy with plenty of puppy charm. He loves toys, chews, fetch, walks, and spending time with his people. He is also quite the character and has an adorable little dance and prance that will make you smile. When he's not showing off his moves, he loves resting his head on you and snuggling.
Benzo is almost house trained and will stand by the door when he needs to go outside. He is doing great with his kennel training and sleeps through the night. He enjoys a couple of short walks and some backyard play each day and then is happy to settle down. He already knows several commands, including come, wait, leave it, off, down, and no. He is food and toy motivated and responds well to training.
Benzo loves dogs of all sizes and has also done well with cats. He hasn't met children yet, so that is still an unknown. He can whine or bark a little when crated and is still working on his puppy habit of jumping on people, but overall he is calm, affectionate, and eager to please.
Benzo came to us as a stray from Houston, Texas, and would love an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors and can continue his training. A home with another dog would be a bonus, as he absolutely loves his 6-year-old canine foster sister. As with any puppy settling into a new home, accidents can happen while he adjusts to his new environment.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
