Say hello to Buford or as his foster mom calls him "Buey", pronounced "byoo-ee". He's a tiny gray fluff ball with the biggest personality you'll ever encounter. This charming little dude will steal your heart before you even know what hit you. He has striking green eyes that contrast against his cool-toned, gray fur. But the physical trait that really wins people over is his absurdly large, round belly that looks disproportionate to the rest of his body. Needless to say - he's a foodie! Buford is bursting with energy, curiosity, and love, making him the perfect addition to any loving home who is looking for a lively addition to bring laughs, smiles, and good memories.Buford's story began when he and his 2 twin sisters (Vada and Twila) were found outdoors alone and brought to a local shelter. They were just a couple weeks old, but fate had better plans for the trio. Buford and his sisters were transferred into the care of a foster with Animal Rescue of the Rockies where they were nurtured into the playful, healthy bundles of joy they are today.With his lively and inquisitive nature, Buford is always on the lookout for action and adventure. He loves nothing more than playing, chasing, and wrestling with his sisters, and would thrive in a home with at least one other feline friend to rumble and tumble with. And let's not forget about his love for food - Buford takes his meals very seriously and isn't afraid to let you know it with a gentle paw smack if you try to take a pinch of his food. But hey, who can blame him for being protective of his meals? We all have our pet peeves, right?One of Buford's foster mom's favorite memories of him was when he attempted to escape the confines of his neonatal box by jumping a foot straight up in the air, thinking he could make a break for it. Needless to say, his lack of coordination made for a very silly and adorable moment. But don't be fooled by his playful antics, Bufo0rd also knows how to relax and enjoys nothing more than cozying up in a warm sunbeam or snuggling next to his humans in bed. He often scales the side of the bed to scope out whose legs he will curl up behind.Buford may be a best friend to all. However, he has had limited interaction with dogs. Although his foster mom is confident he would not have any qualms about making a new friend who looks a little different than him. He would likely attempt to hunt a wagging tail though so a dog sibling would need to be tolerant of his kitten antics. He also loves the company of gentle, supervised children, although he may mistake any moving object for a new playmate and pounce on it with his boundless energy. He currently lives with an 8 year old girl who dotes on him daily and is often the cause of profound laughter coming from her room.Buford is a unique and lovable kitten, with his own set of quirks and charms that make him the perfect addition to any home. His personality is larger than life and will bring endless joy and laughter to any family. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

$350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for kittens (6 months & under)
$150 for cats (older than 6 months)
$100 for senior cats (8 years or older)
