Sammy RDS

Those soulful, deep brown eyes tell the story of just how close this sweet pup came to being left behind. At only four months old and twenty pounds, this little beagle found himself sitting behind kennel bars in Mountain City, Tennessee, confused and heartbroken to be without a family. With just thirty minutes to spare before the transport board closed, his rescue angels stepped in. It was a true eleventh-hour miracle that punched his one-way ticket north to Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey.

He is still a little sad and trying to make sense of all the big changes in his world, but beneath that gentle hesitation is an incredibly hopeful spirit just waiting to blossom. He is the definition of sweet-a classic hound boy with velvety soft ears, darling freckled paws, and an endless amount of love to share. Whether he is leaning in for comfort or looking up with those irresistible puppy-dog eyes, he touches the heart of everyone he meets.

All he needs now is a dedicated, loving home where he can decompress, learn his puppy basics, and discover what it truly feels like to be cherished. He is up to date on his age-appropriate vaccinations and ready to trade shelter kennels for soft dog beds, backyard sniffs, and a lifetime of cozy snuggles.

Sammy has age appropriate vaccinations. If you are ready to be the forever family this brave little guy has been wishing for, submit an adoption application today at ehrdogs.org.
