Meet Emma Jean!
Some guinea pigs are little bundles of fun. Some are professional couch potatoes. Emma Jean has decided she can be both.
This gorgeous tricolor girl is a young adult, estimated to be somewhere between 8-11 months old, and she is pretty much the whole package. Emma Jean is sweet, friendly and absolutely fabulous with both kids and adults. She has a fun, active side that makes her entertaining to watch, but when it's time to slow down, she is more than happy to settle in for some quality snuggle time.
Emma Jean has never lived with another guinea pig. However, she has hung out with some cool girlfriends in her foster home. She had a full-on chase battle with one piggie, but two other introductions were much calmer and showed lots of possibility. She also likes to chat with her foster home buddies and back up their squeak demands for treats.
Okay, let's be real...it's been a couple weeks now, and sometimes she leads the wheeks! Anyway, let's get back on track.
We do think she could very likely do well with a proper introduction and the right personality match. Her foster mom is happy to help with the introduction process, so you don't have to figure that part out on your own.
And if Emma Jean ends up deciding that she'd rather be an only pig? That's perfectly okay too! She can be very happy as a solo girl as long as she gets plenty of attention, interaction, enrichment and stimulation from her humans. Honestly, she seems pretty confident that humans exist primarily for her entertainment anyway.
Emma Jean is playful without being wild, affectionate without being demanding and has that wonderful guinea pig personality that makes you want to stop whatever you're doing and go receive your smooch - even if you are hurrying out the door to get to work on time!
*And bonus points for her future family: Emma Jean is a pretty clean little lady! She does a great job using a litter box most of the time, which means a little less cleanup for her humans.
If you're looking for a sweet, social little companion who can keep up with the fun AND happily settle in for some cuddle time, Emma Jean may just be your girl.
Emma Jean is SO ready to find her furever family! ❤️

All guinea pigs are fed high quality Oxbow Guinea Pig pellets (timothy based for adults), variety of grass, hays, and veggies, some fruit. Vitamin C must be given fresh daily (we use Oasis Multi-vitamin with HIGH vit C). We primarily use grass hays, aspen bedding or paper bedding (helps reduce allergens for those of us who suffer from allergies). We do not neuter guinea pigs due to risk factors.
