Maverick – Handsome, Happy, and Full of Love!

Meet Maverick - Handsome, Happy, and Full of Love!

Maverick,
Ranger, Oakley, and Major are siblings currently with one of our partner rescues in Louisiana. They are awaiting a foster or adopter so they can make their trip to NJ to live their best lives!

With his sleek black coat, winning personality, and love for just about everyone he meets, Maverick is one handsome guy who is ready to find his forever family! This adorable Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix has a wonderful mix of playful puppy fun, sweetness, and affection.

Maverick is a super-friendly boy who loves making new friends and being around people. He's a big fan of back scratches, playing tug-of-war with his siblings, and having fun with his favorite toys. He's got a goofy, playful side, but he's also an affectionate sweetheart who enjoys cuddles and spending time with his people. He's even been known to think he's a lap dog, so don't be surprised if this 30-plus-pound boy tries to squeeze in for some snuggle time!

At approximately 33 pounds, Maverick is expected to grow to around 40-50 pounds. He has a moderate energy level and would love a family who can provide a nice balance of exercise, playtime, training, and plenty of affection. He's not house-trained just yet, so he'll need a family willing to be patient and consistent as he learns his new routine and all the important things about being a family dog.

Maverick gets along with other dogs and is good with children. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard (6-foot fencing required) where he can safely explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors.

If you're looking for a handsome, easygoing companion who is always up for some fun but is just as happy enjoying a little downtime with his favorite humans, Maverick could be your perfect match!

Maverick is ready to leave his puppy days behind with his siblings and start his very own happily-ever-after. Could you be the one to make his dreams come true?

Maverick is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Maverick has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $600.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
