🎉 Meet Jovi • 15 lbs • 1 year old 🎉

Part puppy, part shadow, part kangaroo-100% adorable. 💕

Jovi is a tiny 15-pound sweetheart with a springy little bounce in her step and a quiet curiosity about the world around her. She came from a hoarding case and likely had very little positive interaction with people during her first year of life. Because of that, being touched and handled can still feel scary, but every day she grows a little braver.

While Jovi isn't ready to jump into your lap just yet, she absolutely wants to be part of your world. She loves following her people from room to room, keeping an eye on whatever you're doing, and settling nearby for a nap. Watching her slowly learn to trust is incredibly rewarding. 🩷

Don't let her gentle nature fool you-Jovi has a playful side, too! She loves romping around with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her that the world isn't such a scary place. She also seems to do well with cats.

One thing Jovi has figured out completely? Snacks are amazing. 🍖 This little girl is highly food motivated, and treats have been the key to helping her build confidence and make positive associations with people. If you have treats, you're already speaking her language.

A securely fenced yard is required, as Jovi isn't comfortable walking on a leash yet. She happily comes when called and has the cutest bouncy little gait when she runs across the yard. 😍

Even when she's unsure, Jovi has zero aggression-she simply freezes or creates a little space for herself. She's a gentle soul who just needs patience, understanding, and time to continue blossoming.

Potty training is going well, though she may still have occasional accidents. She would do best in a home with respectful children ages 10 and older.

Jovi may not be the dog who showers you with kisses on day one, but for the person willing to let her move at her own pace, she'll offer something truly special: the joy of watching a once-forgotten little dog discover that she's safe, loved, and finally home. 🏡💞
