Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter strives to provide the best care and outcomes possible for the animals taken into our custody, as well as providing public safety and humane education to our community.

Mont Belvieu Animal Services is a city department tasked with enforcing the city's animal ordinances and working to eliminate animal-related problems within the city. Unclaimed or otherwise unowned animals are available for adoption at Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter, located at 3831 Perry Ave. The staff at MBAS strive to provide the best care and outcomes possible for the animals taken into their custody.

Adoptions, Fostering Program, Public Education, Volunteer Program

The first step to adopting a pet from MBAS is to visit the shelter and meet with the pet(s) you are interested in! Once you have spent some quality time with your potential new pet(s) and have decided if one is a good fit, you will be required to present a valid government photo ID, sign the adoption contract, and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fees range from $0-$50 depending on the age, spay/neuter status, and heartworm status of the pet. For pets not already spayed/neutered or rabies vaccinated at the time of adoption, you will be required to complete those procedures after adoption at a vet of your choosing.

All adoptions at MBAS are same day and you go home with your new pet once the contract and fee are completed!

Adopters can meet our pets by walk in or appointment at Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter-3831 Perry Ave, Mont Belvieu, TX 77523. Our hours are Monday by appointment only, Tuesday-Friday from 8 am-4 pm, and Saturday from 10 am-2 pm.
