Our Mission

The Berkeley County Humane Society is a non-profit organization established in 1943 whose purpose is to promote the humane treatment of homeless or unwanted dogs and cats in the Easter Panhandle of West Virginia, with special emphasis on Berkeley County.

Services We Offer

Adoptions, Spay/Neuter Services

Adoption Process

Adoption fee is $40.00 and they receive $25.00 of that back in the form of a spay/neuter certificate to use when surgery is done. We have a questionaire that is required to be filled out, adoption contract and copy of the West Virginia Spay/Neuter law is reviewed with adoptees as it is mandatory spay neuter when adopting from out facility. It is same day adoptions.

Special Programs & Areas Served

Areas Served: We serve all cites,towns, & counties in the Eastern Panhandle of West virginia, plus Washington County in Maryland and Frederick Co. in Virginia.
