Description
Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m just a one-year-old pup with a big heart, a love of sniffy walks, and a dream of finding that special someone who gets me. I’m the kind of dog who thrives with a patient, understanding person by my side – someone who knows that building trust takes time but that it’s so worth it in the end.
I can be a little unsure around new people, especially if they come on too fast. I may growl to let you know I need some space – but hey, I’m just trying to communicate! Once I feel safe, I’m a loyal, goofy, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be your shadow (and maybe your couch buddy too).
I’ve been working hard on my leash manners. Sometimes I zig-zag or pull a bit because there’s just so much to explore out there, but I also know how to settle into a nice, relaxing sniff walk. I’ve met a few dogs here and had a blast with off-leash play – I’ve got that bouncy, playful energy that makes me a hit with the right doggy pals.
Now, full disclosure: being alone is hard for me. I really love my people and can get anxious when left solo. I’ll need someone who can help me feel safe and secure, with time, training, and lots of patience (and treats – treats help a lot). I’d do best in a calm home with older teens or adults, and I’d love a family that understands canine body language and is committed to positive reinforcement.
If you’re the kind of person who sees the beauty in the journey, not just the destination… if you believe in second chances and love a pup who might need a little extra TLC (and will repay you tenfold with love and loyalty)… then I might be your guy.

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12pm-4:00pm, every single day of the week and they would be thrilled to introduce you to me! I can't wait to meet you and am looking forward to starting my new life with my new family!
