Description

Danny came to us from the County animal shelter. He is a goofball and full of life. Danny does not realize how big he is, thinks he is a lap dog so no small children Danny wants to chase the cats. He is a quick learner, he would need a refresher class in basic obedience. He would love a family to call his own. Primary Color: Grey Age: 0yrs 10mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered

  • Adoption Process:

For general shelter questions, please contact [email protected]. If you are interested in adopting from HSAC, there are a few things you should know. If you currently have a dog at home, it is strongly recommended that you bring your pet in to meet with the animal you are planning to adopt. This will be a requirement for most adoptions (and required for ALL dog/puppy adoptions) done here at our facility. It is very stressful for humans and pets when things don't work out after the new pet has arrived. A vet and/or home check may be required. In order for us to be able to adopt an animal to you, we will need for you to bring a valid state-issued photo I.D. and documentation about your residence. If you rent, we must see a lease agreement stating that pets are allowed on the property. If you own your home, we must see proof of ownership - a tax bill, deed or mortgage coupon. We cannot accept utility bills or any other form of address verification. We accept cash and major credit cards. Personal checks are not accepted. Links to the downloadable pre-adoption forms are provided below. Please fill out your adoption form completely, as any incomplete forms will only delay the process further. Prices and policies are subject to change at management's discretion. Adoptions of pit bulls and mixes must be approved by management for the safety of the dogs. • Mission Statement:

The Humane Society of Atlantic County was established as an Animal Shelter in 1968. Our mission is to curb pet over-population through our clinic’s spay and neuter programs, increase the number of animals adopted into loving homes through our shelter, provide a safe and caring environment for animals that are lost or strayed and to serve as a resource for humane animal education within our community. Our organization strives to improve and protect the lives of companion animals by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people. Our successful adoption programs give us the ability to open our doors to thousands of animals facing euthanasia due to overcrowding or lack of resources in other shelters all over the United States. Our Shelter Outreach Program also enables us to offer a greater variety of animals to our adoption clients.  The Humane Society of Atlantic County is a private, non-profit organization that relies on donations from our generous supporters.
