Description

Meet Lotus
Back in May, four puppies were found dumped in a plastic tote in the park during a rainy day- starved, neglected, and in rough shape. Lotus, now 8 months old and 35 lbs, was one of them. Since being rescued, he's gained 10 pounds, is feeling so much better, and is officially ready for adoption!

Lotus is a smart boy who would thrive with continued training and a patient home to help him feel safe and secure. He's come so far, now he just needs someone to show him what love truly looks like. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 34.5lbs Age: 0yrs 8mths 0wks Animal has been Neutered

  • Mission Statement:

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey. For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds. The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life. Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
