Description

Scout is a fun-loving, energetic young girl who’s always ready to explore, play, and snuggle. At about 1 year old and 50 pounds, she’s the perfect adventure buddy for an active, outdoorsy family.

Originally selected for service dog training due to her exceptional temperament, Scout didn’t quite meet all the service dog criteria—but that just means she’s now available as a fantastic pet for the right home!

Scout is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative—she’s ready to go! She does have a tendency to be mouthy, especially when she’s excited, so she’ll thrive with an experienced dog owner who can set clear, consistent boundaries and guide her with patience and structure. To support her transition, Scout comes with two free training sessions—so you’ll have professional guidance to help her settle in and shine!

Scout would do best in a home without kids or cats. She LOVES to play, so she’ll need to meet any potential dog siblings to make sure they enjoy a high-energy playmate like she does. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and spirited companion—and you’ve got the experience to help her succeed—Scout might be your perfect match!

Her adoption fee of $300 includes 2 private sessions with one of our trainers to get started on basic obedience.

We have an adoption event at our facility from 10am-12pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. Please stop by to meet our adoptable dogs. The address is 6120 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46220.

Other than adoption events, our dogs can be seen by appointment only. For more information or to download an adoption application, please go to https://www.medicalmutts.org/adopt-a-pet-dog. You must submit an application to [email protected] in order to schedule a meet and greet with a dog.
