Adoption Process:
We would love for you to bring home a new best friend. If you are interested in any of our animals please do not hesitate to call 225-634-6051. Our adoption fees are $60.00. The fee includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, and de-worming.Mission Statement:
Pen Pals Animal Shelter is a nonprofit adoption center on the grounds of Dixon Correctional Institute, 5568 La. 68, Jackson. The shelter is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and has a large selection of cats and dogs ready for adoption. All animals have been spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. Operated entirely through donations and volunteer veterinary services, Pen Pals charges a fee of $60 to adopt a cat or a dog. Microchips are optional and cost $10. Donations of animal food, treats, toys, beds, blankets, and monetary contributions are welcome. Pen Pals Animal Shelter is now on PayPal.
