Description
Meet Simon! He came to WAG as part of a litter of 6 after spending the first two and a half months of his life in the forest on the Olympic Peninsula. As a result, Simon is still shy around people he does not know. We believe he was born around 9/23/23, and we continue to see how Simon's personality emerges and changes as he grows.
While in foster care, we have learned that he is a cuddle bug with those he trusts. If you are looking for a constant companion, look no further. This sweet guy will bond tightly with his people.
Because of Simon's shy nature, he needs people that will be understanding and patient with him as they train Simon to be the good dog we know he can be, and a calm environment. Due to his tendency to run when frightened, experienced dog owners are needed. We have found that Simon does require a raw diet due to a sensitive stomach. This appears to be a genetic trait of several of the forest dogs (that are relatives of Simon's) that have come to WAG.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Adoption Process:
Fees Adoption donations range from $150.00 - $400.00 per dog. Hours We do not have regular office hours because our dogs are in private foster homes and at our Half Way Home Ranch. We are open by appointment only, after a successful application has been received. For the quickest response for information or an application please email and / or call the adoption counselor listed in the dog's description. WAG is an all volunteer organization.
