Animal ShelterCharlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control is the municipal shelter for Mecklenburg County. Every year, we intake over 10,000 animals, and average around 100-120 adoptions per week. In addition to offering low-cost adoptions 7-days a week at our 2 adoption center locations, our team is proud to serve our community by offering a number of pet-focused resources and programs. Our two adoption-center locations are; 8315 Byrum Dr. Charlotte, NC 28217, and 2700 Toomey Ave. Charlotte, NC 28203.
