Akon is a gentle soul looking for a cozy and quiet home. He can be nervous around new people, but if you give a little time and gain his trust, he's sure to be a mans true best friend!

His true colors shine outside of the shelter where he's able to decompress and relax, he would do best with people who understand slow and steady wins the race.

He is used to have several canine friends in his prior home, so he really needs a doggy pal to be happy. He would do best with older kids or dog savvy kids, a calm home is a must and outdoor activities are his FAVORITE! He is very smart and loves to learn and work for food, so brain games will be a blast. He loves long walks, car rides, soft scratches and pets, hard chew toys are his favorite and give him a treat and he may roll around on it or eat it. This guy is sure to give you lots of laughs, love and unconditional loyalty. Akon is a sweet little dude who can be a bit timid at first, but once he warms up he's a goofball.
