Meet Honey Bear! Who needs a chocolate bar when you can have a whole Honey Bear? At just 10 weeks old and 22 pounds of pure puppy squishiness, Honey Bear is already serving up some serious sweetness. This adorable German Shorthaired Pointer mix is going to be a very large girl when she grows up, so her future family should be prepared for lots of dog hair, slobbery kisses, and a whole lot of lovable dog.

Honey Bear arrived at our shelter through a special partnership with our friends at Geauga Moms and Pups, along with her sister, Dolly. These sweet girls were welcomed into our care so they could find the loving homes they deserve.

And Honey Bear is one seriously gorgeous girl. She has the rich chocolate-colored coat of a German Shorthaired Pointer, complete with chocolate spots sprinkled all over her body. Basically, she's a walking, wiggly piece of chocolate perfection. Honey Bear is the more outgoing sister and isn't quite as shy as Dolly. She's happy to get out there, explore, meet new friends, and show off her sweet puppy personality. She's affectionate, playful, and ready to be part of whatever fun is happening around her.

Honey Bear was fostered with four large-breed resident dogs and two cats and did wonderfully with both. She slept in a specific gated area in the house and was already making great strides with housetraining. She's proving that being adorable and being a good girl aren't mutually exclusive.

We think Honey Bear would be especially happy in a home with another friendly dog. Having a canine companion to play with, learn from, and snuggle with would be a wonderful addition to her new life. Of course, Honey Bear is still a puppy, which means she is very much a work in progress! Her forever family will need to be ready to help her learn all those important puppy skills, including general obedience, leash skills, housetraining, and proper socialization. With patience, consistency, love, and plenty of treats, we know Honey Bear is going to grow into an amazing companion.

Honey Bear is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome her into your home while she completes her veterinary care, vaccines, and microchipping.
