Coffee is a sensitive young gal that is looking for a loving home where she can learn what it's like to be a confident pup. Coffee had a difficult start in life, with lots of companionship from other dogs but not a lot of human attention. She's still learning what it's like to be adored by us, so she'll need a patient family that will introduce her to the finer things in life - bully sticks, a safe, comfy bed, and of course, all the pets and adoration a dog could hope for! She'll benefit from a quiet home without a lot of activity and a few close humans who are patient and loving with her through this transition. In her time at the shelter we've noticed that she has a fear of men, so for this reason, we believe her primary caretaker should be a woman to help her feel safe and secure in her new home. Coffee lived with other dogs in her previous home and prefers calmer easy going dog companions. If your dog sounds like this, bring them down for a meet and greet to see if they're a good fit! She would also be happy as a solo dog and soak up all your love. Toffee can be a bit sensitive, so HSBV recommends kids around 10 or older than can participate in her care and training. Adopting Coffee will be an enriching experience for both of you!
