Donatello

~ I can live in a single family home. I may be comfortable in a condo but I'm too large for apartments.
~ I want to live with adults. I may be willing to consider sharing my home with teenagers who are very gentle and respectful of pets.
~ I may enjoy living with cats and dogs pending slow and thoughtful introductions.
~ I have my moments of energy and need to get some exercise every day.

Meet Donatello!
Named after everyone's favorite inventor turtle, Donatello is a 2.5 year old, neutered, Labrador Retriever mix weighing 60 pounds. This handsome black-and-white boy came to CHS from another shelter, where he was born and has spent his entire life. Like any hero starting a new adventure, Donatello can be a little nervous in new situations and with unfamiliar people. With patience and a gentle approach, however, he quickly reveals his sweet and affectionate personality. He is leash trained, kennel trained, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has been fairly neutral around cats. Donatello is looking for an adult home, though he may do well with respectful teenagers. He would be happiest with an experienced dog owner who can help him continue building confidence. He enjoys daily exercise, may be able to live with other pets after slow introductions, and is best suited for a single family home or possibly a condo. If you're ready to help this gentle ninja come out of his shell, Donatello may be the perfect sidekick for your family!
