We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
</p> <p> Currently Living at: DC area foster home</p> <p> </p> <p> Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Monchi is Looking For:</strong> His forever home! Monchi is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He can't wait to get his own humans in the DC area for sniffy walks and romps in parks and world exploration - there's so much he wants to do and see! Dog school would be great too, so he can learn to be the bestest boy. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to be safe and loved. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days. </p> <p> </p> <p>What do you say? Can you see this little guy trotting down by your side?</p> <p><strong> What My Foster Says About Me: </strong> Monchi has been a wonderful foster and has settled into my home beautifully. He is a happy, confident pup who loves everyone meets and never misses an opportunity to say hello to people on our walks. He is very playful and affectionate, enjoying both cuddle time and playtime with his toys and canine friends. He still has typical puppy energy and loves to zoom around the yard or play with other dogs, but he also does great on longer walks and happily joins me for our daily mile-long adventures.

Monchi has been making great progress with his training. He walks nicely on leash, especially when following his foster brother's lead, and is learning basic commands. He is great in his crate, sleeping through the night and remains calm when left alone.

One of Monchi's best qualities is his outgoing and friendly personality. He approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He loves both people and dogs and would thrive in a home that can continue his training, provide regular exercise, and give him plenty of opportunities to share his joyful spirit.
