Misty was rescued from the streets of San Francisco with an upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. She is 1 years old and does well with cats and small dogs. She is very peaceful and quiet. Misty loves comfy spots and engaging with wand toys and pets. She is a loving sweet girl. Please read below for more transparency.
Her last re-check is 2/21/2026 and for
the past 30 days, Misty has been on a treatment regimen that includes Famciclovir and Terramycin.
The latest recommendation Dr. is for Misty to continue her current medications-Famciclovir, Terramycin, or an additional two weeks.
(March 5th,2026 is her next re-check).
If there is no improvement, we may need to consider starting Doxycycline. Additionally, she will be referred to an internist on April 10, 2026, for rhinoscopy, culture, and biopsies.
Here's a summary of Misty's current medications:
**Current Medications**
- **Famciclovir** (Generic Name: Famvir, 250 mg)
- Instructions: Give 2 times daily for 30 days.
- **Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment** (2.5 m Tube)
- Instructions: Apply a small amount (¼ inch strip) to the left eye 2 times daily until the next recheck.
We will hold off for vaccinations until the 2 weeks is complete, we will revisit the medication schedule before proceeding.
Misty will require medications for her entire life. We aim to educate and provide all informaion on her needs before adoption. Adopter must be able to provide medications and healthcare for Misty. Misty is a sweet cat and really longs for her forever home. Adopter should know this is a lifelong medical issue.
