Meet Barkbra Streisand, but everyone calls her Briar! This gorgeous 7 month old, 30lb Female German Shepherd mix puppy is smart, affectionate, and full of personality. Briar came to us with her siblings after spending nearly 6 weeks in a shelter without anyone choosing them, and now she is more than ready to find the loving forever family she has been waiting for.Briar is a very intelligent girl who is already making great progress with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule, and she will even whine to let you know when she needs to go outside. She absolutely loves being around her people and quickly becomes a loyal little shadow who just wants to be part of whatever you are doing.Because Briar bonds so closely with her people, she does experience some separation anxiety and is still learning that being alone is okay. She also is not currently a fan of the crate, but with patience, consistency, and continued positive training, she is already starting to make progress. She will need a family committed to helping her continue building confidence and comfort with alone time. If crated while home alone, she will need a secure, sturdy crate while she continues working through her crate training.Like many shepherd puppies, Briar thrives on structure, routine, exercise, and continued training. She is currently working on leash manners and basic puppy skills and is eager to learn. She would do best with an active family, ideally one with previous shepherd experience, that is ready to continue helping her grow into the amazing dog she is meant to be.Briar loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with, though she can sometimes get a little jealous because she loves attention so much! Because of her herding breed tendencies and puppy energy, she is looking for a home without small cats or young children.Briar is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and spayed.
