Meet Aqua

This blue-eyed beauty is officially ready to steal hearts… and possibly tennis balls too

Aqua is 7 months old, about 15 lbs, current on vaccines, and spayed. We expect this smart little girl to stay under 24 lbs full grown, making her the perfect compact buddy.

Aqua is observant, playful, incredibly intelligent, and full of personality. She loves spending time with her people, does great with other dogs, and is respectful with cats, though definitely curious about them. She's wonderful with kids and men and is learning more every day that humans are safe and loving.

And speaking of smart… Aqua recently rolled in the mud and was placed in the backyard for a brief "time out" while her foster mom prepared to clean her up. Unfortunately, Aqua suffered from a serious case of FOMO. Security cameras caught her carefully inspecting the fence, discovering a loose section, and army-crawling her way underneath it until she escaped to the front yard… where she immediately ran straight to the front porch looking for her people ‍♀️

She also loves to play fetch, although her favorite version involves stealing the ball directly from the resident dog's mouth and sprinting away with it like she just won the Super Bowl

Aqua is still learning to fully trust hands reaching toward her for pets, but she is making steady progress every single day. She will need a patient adopter willing to give her time to settle in and build confidence, but once she feels safe, her goofy, loving, and hilarious personality truly shines.
