Meet Spot! This boy was saved from a not so good situation. Thankfully, we have amazing volunteers who got him to our vet just in time. This poor boy had been starved. He went from 21 lbs to 10 lbs. he was so weak he couldn't stand and was even experiencing neurological symptoms. Thankfully, our vet spent 5 days getting fluids in him and feeding small meals around the clock and got his system back going. He's now settled into foster care and the process continues. He's gained over 7 lbs in just 1.5 weeks and the only care is proper nutrition. We can't wait to see what his weight is tomorrow. Spot is a wonderful and extra sweet boy despite what he's experienced. Of course he gets over eager with food but he's learning it will always be there now and calming down a little more with each meal. He's wonderful with kids, cats, dogs of all sizes and even horses. He is a Velcro dog. When he bonds it's hard and he loves you unconditionally. He enjoys sleeping with you at night and will sleep quietly all night. He's learning house training, crate training and has picked up on a doggy door already. His urine and feces burns and stains are healing and he looks better with each passing day. He is a rat terrier mix who is around 1-2 years old. He's currently 17 lbs but should be around 20-22. He's truly a joy and someone will be lucky to add him to their family. He's utd, hw tested and neutered.

Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.

All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up.
