Meet Moxie! She and her siblings and mom (Melody) were found several weeks back by a Good Samaritan in the freezing temps. Sweet Melody was thin and doing all she could to survive and keep her babies alive. They got settled into foster care and are now thriving. The babies are 6 weeks old and getting their first vaccines. Mom is a Shepherd mix around 40 lbs. Dad is unknown. We do believe they will be medium to large adults. They will be ready at 9 weeks after their second round of vaccines and they are altered. We are taking apps now and will be reserving them to the perfect forever homes.
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained.
All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!
Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up.
