If you were to ask any of the people on our "cat side", which kitty deserves to find their furever home more than the others, you would unanimously hear Ella. Ella came to us as Petunia in 2019 as a kitten from the streets of Port Huron. She didn't stay with us long and she was adopted. She was the full kitten package, so it didn't surprise us in the least! A year or so later, Ella came back to us due to the situation she was in, nothing she did...they said she was perfect. She got adopted shortly after, and it happened again. A year or so later, Ella came back to us due to the situation she was in, nothing she did...they said she was perfect. We were beyond annoyed at this point, this sweet little girl deserved to find her furever home and that is what we were going to help her find.Ella did indeed find the perfect home. She was loved by everybody in the house and settled in for what she (and we) thought would be her happily ever after. And then it happened again. This time, there was something wrong with Ella, and her family didn't have the financial ability to figure it out. Ella came back to us and we set out to figure out what was wrong with Ella.Ella had been making a weird mouth move every time she at or drank anything. You could tell she was in pain, but she is a stubborn little girl, and she wasn't about to let us look to see what was going on. Ella went to the vet to see what was going on, and after some sedation (she wouldn't let the vet touch her mouth either) they removed 4 teeth, diagnosed her with stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth lining), and started antibiotics to kill the infection she had. We crossed out fingers and hoped the teeth that were pulled were causing the stomatitis and she would be back to her normal sweet self. But, because of Ella's luck, just 4 teeth weren't enough to heal her, once her antibiotics were finished, her symptoms/pain came back. Back to the vet she went, and they knew a more drastic step needed to be taken next. Ella got all of her back teeth pulled, got a good teeth cleaning (of all the teeth she had left), got antibiotics and got some meds to help with the pain and inflammation. After a few follow-up appointments and a lot of baby food later, Ella seems to have beat her stomatitis and is back to her normal Ella. What amazed us was that she went back to eating her dry food like she had all her teeth as soon as she healed. This 6 year old is back to acting like a kitten when she plays with certain toys like she did when we first got her. She loves her treats and wet food. She gives hugs and head butts are an all day thing if you let it. Do you agree with the "cat side" people? We thought you would too!You may find me on our website under "ADOPT
