Trixie has been through a lot, but you’d never know it from the way she’s learning to trust and love again. This resilient girl came to the shelter as an injured stray and ultimately needed to have her right front leg amputated, yet she continues to show everyone just how strong and adaptable she is.While Trixie may greet new people with a little hiss at first, it’s all talk — approach her slowly and gently, and she quickly melts into affection, leaning into pets and asking for more attention. She has become significantly more social since arriving and now allows handling and care with ease. Trixie is looking for a patient, compassionate home that will let her continue building confidence while showering her with the love she deserves.
