BOYD

Boyd is extremely fearful in the shelter and spends most of his time hiding under his bed. But Boyd’s history tells a different story than the cat we’re seeing here. His caretaker shared that Boyd is actually a very sweet and playful cat who has lived successfully with both cats and dogs. He especially loved his feline friends Bear and Huggie, and reportedly “loves to play with other cats.” While shy at first with new people, he warms up over time, especially with treats. Boyd came from a difficult situation. His original owner abandoned the cats in someone else’s care, and his caretaker tried to keep and rehome them for as long as possible before an out-of-state move made surrender unavoidable.Right now, Boyd is overwhelmed and shut down — but we believe there’s a social, gentle cat underneath all that fear. He desperately needs a calm home where he can decompress, rebuild confidence, and remember what it feels like to be safe again.
