Breed: Cairn Terrier / Poodle Mix

Personality, Breed Info & Expectations
Brea is a sweet, playful young girl who is full of life and always ready for her next adventure. At 1 year old, she has the perfect balance of puppy-like enthusiasm and growing maturity. She loves spending time with her people, exploring her surroundings, and making every day a little brighter with her cheerful personality.
Brea is affectionate, social, and eager to be part of the action. Whether she's playing, going for walks, or cuddling up after a busy day, she enjoys being close to her family and thrives on companionship and attention.
As a Cairn Terrier / Poodle Mix, Brea combines the intelligence and trainability of the Poodle with the spirited, confident personality of the Cairn Terrier. This mix is often known for being smart, affectionate, curious, and highly people-oriented. Brea will benefit from both physical exercise and mental stimulation to help keep her happy and engaged.
Brea would thrive in a home prepared for:
Daily exercise and playtime
Continued training and guidance
Mental stimulation and enrichment
Positive socialization experiences
Structure, consistency, and routine
A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being
Young dogs require time, patience, training, supervision, and financial commitment as they continue developing into well-balanced adult companions.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue.
Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption.
Brea will benefit from:
Positive reinforcement training
Daily structure and routine
Continued socialization and exposure
Exercise and mental stimulation
Patience, consistency, and supervision
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 days to decompress
3 weeks to learn your routine
3 months to fully feel at home
With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Brea blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life.
Brea will need:
Daily walks, exercise, and interaction
Continued training and guidance
Routine veterinary care and wellness exams
Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
Proper nutrition and weight management
Regular grooming and coat maintenance
Mental stimulation and enrichment
A safe, stable, indoor living environment
Because of her Poodle heritage, regular grooming and coat care will be important to keep her comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Brea thrive in her future home.
Brea is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
