❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Max's Story
Max once had a family and a place to call home. Unfortunately, when life changed for them, Max was left behind. Suddenly, he found himself without the people he had trusted, unsure of what his future would hold.
Thankfully, Max was rescued before spending too long on his own, and he has been given a second chance to find the loving family he truly deserves.
Despite everything, Max has remained the friendly, gentle dog he's always been. He enjoys meeting new people, has a calm and easygoing personality, and is not aggressive. He simply enjoys being around people and is happiest when he can be included in everyday family life.
Whether it's joining you for a walk, relaxing in the yard, riding along on errands, or spending a quiet evening by your side, Max is content just being with the people he loves. His affectionate personality and steady temperament make him an excellent companion for many different types of households.
As a Labrador Retriever Mix, Max has many of the wonderful qualities Labs are known for-loyalty, intelligence, friendliness, and a desire to be close to their family. Labrador mixes are eager to please, highly adaptable, and thrive when they receive regular exercise, companionship, and positive guidance.
Max would thrive in a home that offers:
Daily walks and regular exercise
Plenty of companionship and family time
Positive reinforcement training
Mental enrichment through toys and interactive games
A consistent daily routine
A comfortable indoor home where he is treated as part of the family
A lifetime of love and commitment
Max has already experienced what it's like to lose a home. Now he's simply hoping his next family will be his forever family.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Although Max has lived with a family before, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. New routines, new people, and unfamiliar surroundings can take a little time to understand.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to learn your household routine
3 Months to fully settle into family life
Max's friendly and easygoing nature will help him adapt, especially with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
His new family should continue providing:
Positive reinforcement training
Daily walks and exercise
Mental enrichment through toys and games
Continued socialization
A predictable routine
Plenty of love, patience, and reassurance
With a little time to settle in, Max is sure to become a loyal and devoted member of the family.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Adopting Max is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper veterinary care, exercise, training, and companionship.
As part of responsible pet ownership, Max will need:
Annual veterinary wellness examinations
Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian
Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
A balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight
Daily physical exercise and mental stimulation
Continued positive reinforcement training
A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a valued member of the family
We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and help ensure Max continues to thrive.
