Diamond came to us as an owner surrender after her previous family was no longer able to care for her. Losing the home and people she knew was a big change, but Diamond is now getting a fresh start and a chance to find the family she was always meant to have.

Diamond is affectionate, loyal, and thrives on human companionship. She has a loving personality, playful nature, and desire to be involved in every part of family life. She is happiest when treated as true members of the family and enjoy a wonderful balance of playtime, cuddles, and quiet evenings with the people she loves.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect

Diamond has adapted beautifully since entering rescue, but like many dogs with difficult pasts, she may need a little time to fully settle into a new home. Patience, consistency, and kindness will help her realize that she is finally safe.

She is intelligent, eager to please, and responds well to gentle, positive reinforcement. As her confidence continues to grow, her playful personality becomes more apparent each day.

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care

Owning a Pug is a lifelong commitment that includes routine veterinary care, companionship, exercise, and attention to the breed's unique needs.

Diamond will need:

Routine veterinary care and annual wellness exams

Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection

Proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight

Moderate daily exercise while avoiding overheating

Plenty of companionship and mental enrichment

A safe, stable indoor living environment

As a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, Diamond should avoid strenuous exercise during hot weather and should always have access to fresh water, shade, and air conditioning when temperatures rise.

Diamond is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
