Alondra is a loving, active girl with a playful personality and a joyful spirit. At a young age, she has the perfect balance of youthful energy and growing maturity. She enjoys companionship, activity, and being part of everyday life with her people.

She is affectionate, social, and loves interaction and engagement. Alondra would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and including their dog in daily routines and adventures.

As an American Foxhound / Terrier mix, Alondra may show traits such as intelligence, curiosity, athleticism, and a strong desire to explore and stay active. Hound breeds were originally developed to use their noses and instincts while tracking, which can naturally create a stronger prey drive toward smaller animals.

Because of these breed tendencies, Alondra does not do well with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. This is not because she is a "bad dog," but rather because certain breed instincts can make some dogs more interested in chasing or focusing on small animals.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect

Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance.

Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning.

The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption.

Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility.

Alondra will need:

Continued training and guidance

Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care

A safe, stable, indoor living environment

Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping her live a healthy and happy life.

Alondra is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
