Petey is a 1-1.5 year old Yellow Lab/Hound mix, weighing about 40 pounds and one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. He is gentle, affectionate, and adores giving hugs and kisses. This boy loves people, dogs, and even cats.

Petey is the perfect combination of playful and laid-back. He has a medium energy level -- he'll happily run in the backyard, join you for walks or hikes, and play with his dog friends, but he's also content to settle down for cuddles on the couch. He's smart, eager to please, and already walks nicely on a leash. He's potty and crate trained and has wonderful house-manners. Simply put -- Petey is an easy-going, well-behaved sweetheart who will fit right into almost any family. Petey has also received professional training and would love to show off all the skills he has learned. It is rare to find an adoptable dog with this level of training, so you will be welcoming a well-prepared companion who is truly ready to step confidently into his new life.

This sweet boy was rescued from Bartow County Shelter, where he was heartbreakingly given a deadline. We just couldn't let such a loving pup miss out on his chance at a happy life.

BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
