Kevin is a sweet older gentleman found running at large with his brother Bubbles. He is a great happy boy with heart of gold. He keeps a clean kennel and is still playful in his old age. He does enjoy telling anyone willing to listen what is on his mind.

We are a no kill shelter who aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We encourage people to adopt pets instead of shopping for pets! We promote keeping pets healthy through routine vet care, getting adequate nutrition and exercise, and we recruit volunteers on a regular basis to work with our animals. We have very few employees (only 2 currently) and run almost entirely on a volunteer staff.

Service Areas Our animals generally come from Perry county, but we also take animals from other regions, such as when there is a large number of pets coming in from a neighboring county due to a hoarding situation. Our adopters need to live within a 100 mile radius from our location.

Applicants must apply and pass a thorough screening process, which includes vet and personal reference checks. They must sign contracts and pay an adoption fee.
