Coleslaw — Coley to her people — would like it noted that she is the only girl in this entire Fish Fry and she has been completely unbothered by that fact from day one. This striking, spirited longhaired gray tabby with white markings showed up, assessed her three brothers, and decided they were adequate competition. She has been keeping up with them effortlessly ever since, because Coley does not do second place. She's brave, she's bold, she's got the softest fur you've ever had the pleasure of touching, and she somehow manages to be equally committed to high-energy toy chaos and refined, dignified relaxation — a balance her brothers have not quite mastered. She loves playing with the resident cats, she loves a good meal, and she carries herself with the quiet confidence of someone who knows she's the most interesting person in the room without needing to announce it. The only girl in the litter. The only one who was never going to be anything but exactly this. Coleslaw: the perfect finishing touch to any good spread.
