Matilda

This happy-go-lucky girl's name is Matilda. In December 2025, we rescued Matilda and her son, Cupcake, from a county shelter's euthanasia list. We couldn't believe these amazing Rotties were facing such a fate; they are two of the most people-friendly pups you will ever meet. They greet everyone as if they are their favorite person on Earth, offering all the wiggles and "nub wags" they can muster.Matilda absolutely loves people and wants nothing more than a family of her own to shower with affection. While her body shows the trauma of her past- you can tell she had been bred multiole times- her spirit remains unbroken. She has officially received the "all clear" from our veterinarian, who confirmed that although she is blind in her left eye from a past injury, it has fully healed and is not causing her any pain.This small physical limitation does not take away from her beautiful soul or her ability to navigate the world with joy. Her capacity to forgive is a true testament to her amazing character.Matilda and Cupcake are attached to one another, and we would love to see them adopted together. As the saying goes, "Two is always better than one!" You truly couldn't ask for a better duo.If you are interested in adopting Matilda (or both of them), they would love to meet you!Our Adoption ProcessIf you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our adoption application by visiting our website at www.rottenrottie.com, clicking on Adopt a Rottweiler Adoption Application, and submitting the form online.After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally.We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need.All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption.Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a perfect match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas.
