Zoey is a wee girl bringing big energy. Zoey is very vocal, and initial meetings will bring on growls and barks. She may give off Vecna vibes, but will crouch should you need to pick her up. She will run in an attempt to get away for some time (and is considered a flight risk), but is cooperative for care.
Zoey will need help with house training- in total transparency, she is not at all trained and does become fearful when outside. The leash is something she'll need to get used to. Her foster home will continue working hard on these things, but all in all she would not be for a first time pet owner.
Having another dog in the home to show her the ropes would be a huge help. She is fostered with ten other small dogs, and while she does great- she has quite the scrappy attitude. She loves running around with toys- and will pretend to chomp another dog as they run by when the mood strikes. Again, its all an act- and she is happy to snuggle in and let others give her thorough sniffs. Zoey is sure to keep you laughing, and when you least expect it will sneak up on you for belly rubs.
She is treat motivated, and if you want to make fast friends just keep the goodies coming. This girl is going to take awhile to come out of her shell, but she is 100%% worth it- and we are loving her shenanigans along the way!
