It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
CASSANDRA had 6 kittens in a very dangerous industrial recycle center in Compton, California. The babies were born in a abandoned car inside the recycling plant. The trapper was able to get the kittens to safety and went back for mom. Kittens were sent out to a rescue in San Diego, California. And once mom was caught, the trapper discovered she was a very super sweet, purring machine!!
Meet CASSANDRA, a sassy, sweet, and feisty tuxedo kitty from Compton, California, who is equal parts cuddly and commanding! With her classic black-and-white fur coat, this chubby little diva has perfected the art of being the center of attention, but only when she's in the mood. She's got that special "I'm in charge" attitude that makes her both endearing and, let's face it, a bit bossy!
CASSANDRA might be large in size, but don't let that fool you-she's also got a big personality. She absolutely adores her 3-tier toy, the one with those colorful balls that keep her engaged for hours. You'll often find her batting the balls around, her little paws a blur of movement. It's her favorite way to unwind, and she's become a master at rolling the balls just the right way to make them bounce with that perfect thwack sound. If there's one thing CASSANDRA does, it's play with purpose.
As much as she enjoys her playful independence, CASSANDRA is also a fan of affection-but on her terms, of course. She loves receiving pets when she's ready for them, but if she's not feeling it, she'll make sure you know with a quick glance or a soft swat (nothing too serious, just a reminder that she's the boss!). When CASSANDRA is in the mood for cuddles, though, she's as sweet as can be, curling up next to you and purring with contentment as if you've won her favor for the day. She can be the queen of your lap, but you'll need to earn it! Her unique purring will absolutely make you fall in love with her!
CASSANDRA is best suited for a home where she can rule the roost, making her own rules but also sharing her love when she chooses. She's playful, independent, and ready to bring her unique charm into a family that appreciates her spirited nature. She does do ok with cats with proper introduction. Are you ready to let this feisty little lady take the lead in her new loving home?
CASSANDRA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY-TUXEDO MIX. Honestly we are not sure what she is. She's not a full TUXEDO, but she's not a full BOMBAY either. She is about 3 years and 7 months old. She is ok with cats that won't be mean to her. She has never been around dogs that we are aware of or children.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview (within a week)
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract - AME
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below:

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
