It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
CSI NICK STOKES was living in a cul-de-sac in San Jacinto, California. The family that was taking care of the ferals in their area reached out that they needed help with TNR. They agreed to take care of the actual feral cats and we would help TNR them and take any little kittens and friendly cats. Well, we trapped several cats. All the others were feral. We caught CSI DR. GIL GRISSOM, CSI SARA SIDLE, and CSI CATHERINE WILLOWS.
CSI NICK STOKES was SUPER FRIENDLY. And like we had promised, we took in the friendly cats. He is so very sweet!! He loves to be picked up. He is still learning to play nice with other cats. He is super playful. He loves to climb on you or jump on you. We want to do right by him and find him a true FURever home. Can you find it in your heart to help him?

CSI NICK STOKES has a big personality and is incredibly affectionate. He's a fan of pets, cuddles, and-let's be honest-he'll probably steal your seat when you get up for a snack. But he's not just about the cuddles-he has an adventurous side, too! His playful nature means he's always ready to engage with you, especially when catnip and a bit of Churru come into play. And don't forget food-CSI NICK STOKES LOVES to eat, so make sure there's always something tasty on hand for him to enjoy.
While CSI NICK STOKES loves his humans, he's not a fan of sharing the spotlight with other cats. He prefers to be the solo star of the show, so a home without other feline companions would be best. If you have a dog, though, he might be open to making a new friend, as long as they're properly introduced and given some time to adjust. He's never been around children, so a calm and understanding environment would suit him best.

He wants to be your LUV BUG. He has never interacted with dogs but seems unreactive to them. He has never lived with children.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview (within a week)
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract - AME
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below:

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
