Kira came to us after being rescued from a cold garage, where she was confined in a small crate with her puppies. At intake, she had infected ears and eyes, and tragically lost one of her puppies prior to intervention by MAD Rescue. Despite a rough start, Kira has shown herself to be a resilient and stable dog who has transitioned well into a more structured environment.Quick Overview 1.5 years old, solid black Belgian Malinois (Embark tested and shown to be clear for all health issues!) Knows commands in Spanish (unconfirmed) Low to medium prey drive Food motivated Playful and engaging personality Has done well with one dog; recommend structured introductions moving forward Stands well for grooming and nail trims Unknown if successfully crate trained; has not been destructive in a kennel room setting Not suitable for homes with cats Will bark at livestock and fence-line dogs (responsive to recall and easily called off)Kira would do well in a home that can continue to provide structure, clear communication, and thoughtful management while building on her engagement and consistency. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six month subscription.
