#MADloveBella is a petite 13-month-old Malinois mix with a huge heart and an incredible will to thrive. When she arrived at the shelter on December 26, she weighed just 20.1 pounds and was clearly malnourished. With proper care and lots of love, she has truly blossomed-now weighing 27 pounds, with an estimated healthy adult weight of around 32 pounds.Bella is an affectionate, curious young dog who absolutely adores people. She has been wonderful with everyone she's met and gets along very well with other dogs . She may be a bit shy at first introductions, but give her 15-20 minutes and she quickly warms up, eager to play, connect, and engage. She's still learning the ropes of life outside the shelter and is making impressive progress every day. Bella is doing well with house training and thrives on a consistent schedule , which helps her succeed. She walks nicely on leash and is a pleasure to take out. As a young dog, she will benefit from continued guidance and structure as she matures and settles into a home.Bella has a voracious appetite-for both food and affection! She's currently eating more than a 70-pound dog at mealtimes, a testament to how much she's catching up after her rough start.Bella was rescued from a San Bernardino shelter where she was facing euthanasia just weeks ago. Thanks to a dedicated volunteer who transported her north, she made her way to safety, and I picked her up in Hollister. She is now fully vetted and up to date on all vaccinations.Bella is ready for a family to open their home and hearts to her. She has so much love to give and deserves a forever home where she can continue to grow, feel safe, and thrive. Due to her prey drive, a cat-free home is recommended. She may do ok with a dog-saavy cat. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six-months subscription. If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link
