Meet Axel - The High-Energy Lover Boy Looking for His Person Axel is just under 2 years old and full of life, love, and enthusiasm. This handsome boy came into rescue after a rough start - dumped as a stray with a leg injury - but he hasn't let his past dim his spirit one bit. Axel is high energy, playful, and very much a velcro dog. He wants to be wherever you are, doing whatever you're doing. On the couch? He's your perfect "seatbelt." Moving around the house? He's right there. Giant lover energy all the way. Personality & PlayAxel absolutely loves playtime, especially with dogs that can match his intensity. His playstyle is rough and enthusiastic, and he thrives with canine friends who enjoy that same level of energy.He is obsessed with Chuck-It balls - not to fetch, but to proudly run around with the ball in his mouth like it's his greatest treasure. Training & Manners• Potty trained & crate trained• Non-destructive when left loose in the house• Walks well on leash ‍• Knows sit and wait• Will patiently wait for food until released• Slightly mouthy - not aggressive, he just likes to gently "hold" your hand• Showed minor food guarding initially, but this was successfully worked through with easy, consistent correction• Very smart - he will quickly pick up both good (and bad ) habits from his fur siblings What Axel NeedsAxel will do best with a stern, confident handler who can provide structure and clear boundaries. He's clever and will test limits to see what he can get away with - but with consistency, he thrives and truly wants to do the right thing.
