Hello, I'm Rabbit(Tokki). I'm a gentle, sensitive girl with a soft heart, learning to find my own way in the world.Breed: Jindo/Spitz MixAge: 1 year Gender: FemaleWeight: 22.5 lbs (10.5 kg)Height: 15.7 inches (40 cm)Country of Origin: South KoreaHighlights: Friendly, smart, gentle, well-behaved, calm and absolutely lovelyI was born in the middle of winter in a rural area of Korea, and I spent most of my early life outdoors. During that time, I was always with my mom, Hongcha (her profile will be posted soon), and she was my comfort and my sense of safety as I grew up.
https://youtu.be/lV3JL3QjEcI https://youtu.be/AKuRJTZylWkI didn't have the easiest start in life, but things began to change when I was rescued and given the chance to experience a different kind of life. Now, I am safe and slowly learning what it means to live as part of a home.I'm a very calm and well-mannered girl with a thoughtful and slightly shy personality. When I meet new people, I don't rush in, but instead approach slowly with curiosity, taking my time to feel safe. Once I begin to trust, I form a deep and gentle bond and enjoy affection in my own quiet way.
https://youtu.be/_E8SmklezjkI am currently living in a foster home and adjusting very well to indoor life. I've learned daily routines quickly, I'm house-trained and do well with pee pads, and I greet my foster family when they come home. I may be a little reserved at first, but I adapt faster than expected and build strong connections with the people around me.I get along well with other dogs and tend to be very polite and gentle in my interactions. I usually approach calmly, sometimes simply sitting and observing, and I do best with dogs who are respectful and not overly energetic. I am not easily startled and tend to remain calm even in new environments.
https://youtu.be/HZfw7LL8picOn walks, I do well and enjoy exploring the world with my nose. I may pull slightly at times, but I respond well when my name is called and I am eager to learn. I also have a playful side and enjoy toys, sometimes with more energy than you might expect from my calm nature. What I need most is a patient and understanding family who will give me time to open up, guide me gently, and help me build confidence. I may start out as a shy and quiet girl, but with love and patience, I will become a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. If you believe in giving a gentle soul the time and love she needs to shine, I might be the one you've been waiting for!Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: Yes! I'm very friendly.Cats: Unknown. Kids: Unknown.Training: Leash-trained: Yes! (Please be prepared to continue training) House-trained: Yes - naturally! (Please help me learn where to go in my new home) Health notes: I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer:It is important for all applicants to visit our website,
http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
