Meet Milo - The Bright, Gentle Boy Who Blooms with Trust Breed: Jindo / Corgi Mix Color: Warm Tan-Brown Age: Approximately 3 years old Gender: Male Weight: 15.6 kg Height: 38 cm, ground to shoulder Origin: South Korea Highlights: Gentle • Bright • Loving • Playful • Dog & Cat Friendly A Second Chance at LifeMilo was taken to a shelter in Gurye, South Korea, when he was only about five months old. He spent approximately a year and a half there, waiting for someone to notice him. Sadly, Milo was eventually placed on the euthanasia list. He was rescued because his life deserved more than ending in a shelter. At the time of rescue, Milo had giardia, although he looked healthy on the outside. He received treatment for about one month, and his follow-up test confirmed that he had fully recovered. He is now healthy and ready for the next chapter of his life. Milo has been safe at the DoReMi shelter, but rescue is not complete until a dog finds a family. Now, this sweet boy is looking for a home where he can feel secure, loved, and understood. Personality & CharmMilo is a gentle, thoughtful boy who may be a little shy when meeting new people for the first time. Before coming to the DoReMi shelter, Milo was very quiet and often stood off to the side, simply watching the other dogs. After moving to DoReMi, however, his true personality began to bloom. Now, Milo is much brighter and more active. He enjoys spending time with his dog friends, plays well with them, and has become more confident in a comfortable environment. He may bark occasionally and sometimes likes to involve himself in what his friends are doing, showing his curious and lively side. With new people, Milo may watch from a distance at first or approach slowly. However, he does not take a very long time to open his heart. If you approach him gently and give him a little time, he will begin to come closer and trust you. Once Milo feels safe, he is affectionate in a soft and sweet way. He may quietly come beside you, wait to be touched, make gentle eye contact, and lean into you when he is ready. With his warm tan-brown coat, short legs, and bright smile, Milo has an adorable look that matches his gentle personality. Milo does not need to be rushed. He simply needs someone who will give him time to feel safe. Once he trusts you, he has so much love to give. Best HomeMilo would do best with a patient and kind family who understands that he may be shy at first with new people. He does not need a very long time to adjust, but he should be allowed to approach at his own pace. A family who can give him gentle encouragement, a stable routine, and positive experiences will help him continue to grow in confidence. Milo may be suitable for a first-time adopter if they are calm, patient, and willing to continue helping him build trust. He could live in an apartment as long as he receives regular outdoor potty breaks and enough exercise. A home with a yard would also be helpful, especially because he is outdoor potty trained. Although Milo enjoys other dogs and can play well with them, a very busy or crowded multi-dog home may not be ideal. He would do best with friendly, balanced dogs who will not overwhelm him. Milo has not lived with children directly, but he has done well when children visited the shelter. A home with respectful children may be considered with proper introductions and supervision.
