Dillard arrived at the shelter from the city pound on 8/31/2026, after he completed his legal stray hold. He's an approximately 2 to 3 year old pug or pug mix. He's kind of stocky and robust and is a typical pug type with all the snorts and snuffles. We will have him vet checked and neutered on Sept. 10th and his fee is $150.

Dillard is looking for a home that has some experience with brachycephalic (flat-faced, short-headed) breeds. They can require a little extra care. He would do best in a home without really young kids. He should do okay with another smaller dog and most likely cats, too. He's a somewhat mellow dude who does have short bursts of energy. He needs a little bit of basic training but is pretty well mannered.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
