Ares

Ares arrived on 6/17/2025 as a transfer from one of our rescue friends. He's a big, handsome, stocky dude with a large capacity to have fun. He's around 6 years old and appears to be a shepherd mix of some type. There could be quite a few breeds in there. He has been fully vetted and his fee is $125.

Ares is a large, strong guy who would prefer to be the only pet in the home. He's is pretty well mannered. He would love to be with someone who can give him the good exercise he needs. He's also pretty content to chill out on a couch with someone after playtime. He loves to play and is a big fan of playing tug with a strong rope toy. He's also very neat and keeps his kennel spotless. He's fairly easy going and doesn't demand a lot.

NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
