Rowdy arrived at MCHS on 6/13/2026, a transfer from one of our rescue friends after originally coming from a South Dakota Reservation area. He is a solid young shepherd looking mix who is around 8 months old and has some growing left to do. He will need some basic training and has a great attitude. He has been vet checked and neutered and his fee is $150.

Rowdy generally resembles a German shepherd and has the ears and coloring of one, but he definitely could have some other breeds in his mix, like husky and various types of herding breed dog. Heelers and other herding breeds and their mixes are very common on Reservations. He is strong and active, so he'll definitely need some good exercise. We do think he'd do well with other dogs. Cats? Maybe, with work and training. He does tend to live up to his name a little bit. He'd probably do okay with older kids, too.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
