Nanette

Nanette came to us on 3/21/2026 after fulfilling the legal stray hold at the city pound. She is an approximately 2 to 3 year old pit bull type mix, possibly with boxer and/or other breeds. She did have some hair loss when she arrived, which we think was due to a prior flea issue (we treated her right away), but otherwise looks good. She has been vet checked, chipped, spayed, and her fee is $150.

Nanette is a gem! She is a happy and loving girl who is fairly well mannered and appears to have had some basic training. She currently weighs around 55 pounds and is somewhat short and stocky. We do think Nanette would be okay with a well mannered male dog and kids over 5. We have no way of knowing how she would be with cats.

NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
