Bert is a 6-year-old grey tabby who was sadly dumped at the sanctuary, but he hasn't let that dim his gentle spirit. At first, he was shy and unsure of humans, but with a little patience and kindness, he has blossomed into a total lovebug. Now he follows staff and volunteers around, politely asking for pets and affection.
Bert loves to "chat" with his people and is an excellent listener. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and does well with dogs and kids, too. This sweet, mellow boy is ready to find a home where he can feel safe, loved, and appreciated.

We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life.
While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don't have their family history). Additionally, medical tests-though highly reliable-can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high.

Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $168.
For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses.
