Meet Corky! Corky is a big, handsome Cane Corso with a soft heart and an adorable signature move; when he’s happy, he squints his eyes and wiggles with joy. It’s his own special way of showing he feels safe and excited, and once you see it, you won’t forget it! Corky may be a little shy and reserved when first meeting new people or entering new environments. He can come off as nervous at first, but give him a little time, and you’ll see a different side of him start to shine. As he gets comfortable, Corky becomes more social, affectionate, and even playful; zooming around the yard and leaning into his people for pets. He has shown a strong love for treats (a great training motivator!) and enjoys staying close to his handler once he builds trust. While he can get a bit excitable at times, with some light jumping or gentle mouthing but he responds well and doesn’t escalate. Around other dogs, Corky is curious but cautious. He may approach slowly and then choose to disengage, showing he’s still building confidence in social situations. He hasn’t shown any aggression, and he would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions and continued positive experiences.Corky is looking for an experienced, patient home that understands large breeds and is committed to helping him continue growing in confidence. With gentle guidance, structure, and plenty of exercise, enrichment, and love, Corky has all the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
